What makes a Roatan vacation ideal for snorkeling is the fact that these islands sit on the world's second largest coral reef system, the meso-american barrier reef. Roatan's reefs has been quoted to be second to none in the world. You will be amazed by the abundance and array of bright colored fish, sponges, sea fans, tubes, black coral, and fire coral, just to name a few. You'll want to keep your eye out for schools of baby squid, the elusive sea turtles, eagle rays, or sting rays, and the most fragile and shy of all, the seahorse!
Enjoy an hour and a half of beautiful snorkeling in our favorite marine protected areas along the north shore, away from the tourist crowds of west end and west bay.. When you've completed your snorkel tour, your family will have plenty of time to soak up the Caribbean sunshine, relax, take in the sights, sounds, and island cuisine at the bar & restaurant.
Duration 5 hour total = 1.5+ hrs of actual snorkeling, remainder beach time, light snacks, lunch and one drink ticket.

Our historical Port Royal snorkel charter is our most popular offshore adventure for a reason! You won't find any crowds or groups of snorkelers obstructing your snorkeling on this adventure! It's just you, and unspoiled nature at it's finest!
Your personal driver will be waiting for you at the port, where you'll be driven to East Roatan to your waiting boat & guides. Enjoy an amazing cruise along the south shoreline taking in the island's lush tropical landscapes as the sea sparkles like diamonds. Your boat will stop at key locations offering you the opportunity to snorkel the magical rock and colorful coral formations inside the reef, with an abundance of multi colored tropical fish, starfish, squids, stingrays and marine life in the warm crystal Caribbean water. Keep your eye out, you might get lucky and spot wild dolphins to swim with! Your boat guides will have refreshments, fruit and snacks available between your snorkel locations to keep your energy going.
When you arrive at Port Royal, your guide will point out historical landmarks where the The Spanish unsuccessfully tried to rid the area of pirates so they could transport the New World gold to Spain in peace, in 1650. You can still to this day, see reminence of the old canons.
After an extended and beautiful snorkel off Calf and Cow, Starfish Alley, The Horseshoe and drag snorkeling the reef wall, you have an opportunity to anchor off and relax on a private island, fresh water shower to rinse, washroom, walking trails, and a delicious bbq picnic lunch and drinks before heading back to shore.

Not everyone wants to or can dive, and to be perfectly honest, the snorkeling on Roatan offers the one of the most accessible reefs and excellent snorkeling in the world! Even if you are not a snorkeler, we encourage you to give it a go! Our snorkel guides give an informative snorkel instructional, practice, and will partner up with you until you get the hang of it. If swimming is not your strong suit, no problem, your life-vest will help you float along with the current where little swimming ability is needed. We go at your pace, on your time, because each snorkel group is small you won't have to worry about keeping up with a crowd, being kicked by other people's fins, or crowded locations. Snorkel some of the best snorkel locations on earth, in Roatan's marine protected locations along the north shore of Roatan.
There is so much rich and abundant marine life and bright coral formations, you'll soon forget about the snorkel gear and just enjoy nature's beauty. Part of a protected Marine Park, these waters are home to an abundance of tropical sea life, endless varieties of colorful fish, turtles, starfish, morays, sponges and many more incredible marine creatures.
Between snorkel locations your will have a cooler with snacks and refreshments to keep your energy going. After you're snorkeling is complete, your guides accompany you back to the main clubhouse where you are free to rinse the salt water with fresh water shower, enjoy the beach, beach-side pool, and order lunch and drinks and soak up the rest of your day in paradise.
